Valentine Themed Biscuit Workshop
Thursday 12th February 7pm - 9pm
Join this workshop to decorate Valentine themed biscuits with royal icing. Under Tessa’s expert tutelage use two different consistencies of royal icing to coat biscuits with the “outline and fill” method. You will take home 5 decorated biscuits, Tessa’s own biscuit recipe and notes on royal icing so you can create more fabulous biscuits at home.
Come and join this evening of fun with a friend and a glass of fizz!

Sussex Police Drop-in
Monday 16th February - 10am - 12 noon
We are delighted that the Neighbourhood Policing Team will be returning to the Hub early on the 16th February.
This is a great opportunity to come along, have a chat, and raise any concerns you may have about our community. You can also hear more about how the team are tackling local issues.
PCSO Ford, who has covered Fernhurst and the surrounding area for the past five years, will be in attendance and is looking forward to meeting and speaking with local residents.

Spring Embroidery Workshop
Saturday 7th March 1000 - 1530 hrs
Come and enjoy a workshop learning how to hand-embroider some forget-me-nots and bumble bees. This would make a perfect gift for someone special , ideal for Mother's Day or a special birthday.
During your day, you will be shown six different basic stitches, enabling you to complete your design in the comfort of your own home.
All equipment will be provided for use on the day
In addition, you will take home a full embroidery kit.

Discover the 'ancient office' of a High Sheriff
Thursday 12th March - 7.30pm - 9pm
The office of High Sheriff has its origins in Anglo-Saxon England in the 10th century with the position in Sussex being almost continuously occupied since that time. Dr Tim Fooks is the first medical High Sheriff of West Sussex and the first person to carry out the role twice in Sussex since 1551. His Royal Warrant requires him to ‘take the Custody and Charge’ of the county for the year of his appointment. But what does this mean in the 21st Century? Dr Fooks will unpack the history of this ancient office and explore how its royal connection and independence continue to create a unique opportunity to strengthen our county and its communities.’

Easter Cupcake Decorating Workshop
Saturday 28th March - 2pm - 4pm
Join Tessa for a hands-on spring cupcake decorating workshop.
During this relaxed 2-hour session, you’ll learn how to pipe a beautiful range of spring flowers while decorating up to six cupcakes. You’ll create both large, statement flower cupcakes and delicate mini-bouquet designs, all to take home in a presentation box.Along the way, Tessa will share her expert tips and tricks for baking perfect cupcakes, as well as making and working with buttercream—so you’ll leave with new skills as well as gorgeous creations.

Easter Egg Hunt
Good Friday 3rd April - 2pm - 4pm
Our ever popular annual Easter Egg Hunt will take place on Good Friday. Bring your children to the Hub to collect their map then they will make their way around the village to find the hidden Easter chicks. On completion of the trail, they will return to collect their free boxed chocolate egg.
For children up to the age of 11 years.
Entry: £1.50 per child

Repair Cafe
Saturday 18th April - 10am - 1.00pm
Don't throw away your broken toasters, toys or trousers, book them in by clicking the link below and bring them to the Hub to see if our wonderful repairers can restore them to working order with their skill and expertise.
We’re charging a £2 registration fee to cover costs and hope you will donate to the Hub, if you can, when the item is repaired.

Tiny Tunes & Tales
Every Tuesday 9.15am - 9.45am
We are delighted, once again, to be offering a weekly music and stories session every Tuesday during term time. This is for pre-school aged children, and is a fun and informal way to introduce them to music. It’s also a great way to meet new friends and socialise your little ones.

Reading Circle
Daytime - 1st Tuesday of the month at 2.30pm
Evenings - 2nd Wednesday of the month at 7.30pm
Have you always meant to read that book? Then why not join one of our friendly, informal Reading Groups.
In each group, members take it in turns to choose a book for the next meeting.
Haslemere Book Shop offers a 10% discount on books purchased by members of the Reading Circle.

Walk & Talk

Have you been meaning to join a walking group lately? We run a ‘Walk & Talk’ group on the second Thursday of the month, meeting at 09:30 at the Hub.
It’s free to all and everyone is welcome including dogs!

Come along and join us for a fun and sociable afternoon playing board games and cards. Backgammon. Scrabble, Chess, Bananagrams or enjoy a game of Racing Demons. New ideas welcome. Please bring your favourites too.
